This is a Rada carving fork in model R110, cast brushed-aluminum handles. The working end is stainless steel formed for the job rather than stamped flat, and the handles are cast solid aluminum, so there is no hollow rattle and no rivet seam to loosen.
Holding a roast steady while it is carved, and lifting it off the board without tearing.
Rada Mfg. Co. has been making cutlery in Waverly, Iowa since 1948, and grinds and assembles every blade at that plant.
