This is the original Zeroll dipper: a one-piece cast aluminium scoop with a sealed handle containing a heat-conductive fluid. The design has not needed changing since Sherman Kelly patented it in the 1930s.
It is the scoop for anyone serving ice cream straight from a home freezer, where product is harder than shop temperature and a thin scoop simply skates across the surface.
The Zeroll Company has made its ice cream scoops and dishers in Florida since 1935, and states its scoops are made in the USA.
