This is a Rada steak knife in model W405, black resin handles. Every blade is T420 high-carbon stainless, hollow-ground so the edge stays thin behind the bevel rather than wedging through what you are cutting, and the handles are moulded black resin that goes through the dishwasher without hazing.
At the table on cooked meat, where a serrated edge keeps cutting without being re-sharpened between meals.
Rada Mfg. Co. has been making cutlery in Waverly, Iowa since 1948, and grinds and assembles every blade at that plant.
