The Saddle Mountain Skinner is a full-size hunting knife built around a 4.2-inch CPM-S30V drop-point blade with a deep belly tuned for skinning and breaking down big game. The orange G10 scales are textured for grip and bright enough to spot in leaves or snow, set over a full-tang frame.
It’s made for the heavier end of field work — skinning, quartering, and processing game where you need blade length and edge retention through a long session. The fitted leather sheath rides on a belt and keeps the knife secure between cuts.
Benchmade designs and manufactures its knives in Oregon City, Oregon, machining and hand-sharpening each blade in-house. Every knife is backed by the LifeSharp lifetime sharpening and adjustment service, and the brand has made knives in Oregon since 1988.
