The Mayhew 14120 is a 58-inch curved pry bar from the Dominator Pro line. The shaft is hardened, tempered steel that runs the full length of the tool through the handle to a metal striking cap at the butt end.
Because the strike cap sits in direct contact with the shaft, a mechanic can hit the end of the bar with a hammer to drive the cutting tip into a seized component without splitting or mushrooming the handle — a common failure mode on plastic-capped pry bars.
