The Cowboy Spatula in “Come and Take It” is an 11-inch hand-shaped mesquite wood spatula with a triangle blade and the laser-engraved cannon flag from the 1835 Battle of Gonzales. Mesquite is one of the densest hardwoods in North America, and each spatula is cut, shaped, sanded, and finished with food-safe pure coconut oil – no stains, lacquers, or chemical coatings.
The triangle blade is what makes it work: the wide end scrapes a cast iron skillet clean without removing seasoning, the angled edge slides under fried eggs and pancakes, and the point breaks up ground meat in a Dutch oven. Wood will not scratch any cooktop, so it’s safe on cast iron, carbon steel, stainless, enameled cast iron, and nonstick alike.
Cowboy Spatula is a Texas workshop hand-making mesquite kitchen tools one piece at a time. Color and grain vary because each spatula is cut from a different piece of wood, and every spatula is made and shipped from the USA.
