This is the Chris King InSet 2 in silver, a semi-integrated (zero stack) headset for 44mm upper / 56mm lower head tubes. It fits tapered 1.5-to-1-1/8 inch steerers and straight 1-1/8 steerers, with aluminum cups, stainless steel bearings, and King’s GripLock compression ring assembly.
It upgrades modern trail and gravel frames to bearings that outlast the frame, with the GripLock ring keeping the assembly snug through hits that loosen lesser headsets.
Chris King Precision Components has machined bicycle components in Portland, Oregon since 1976, making its own bearings from domestic-mill materials and anodizing parts in-house.
