This is the Lodge 12-inch casserole pan — a deep-walled cast iron pan with short loop handles on both sides, designed for baked dishes that go oven-to-table. The deeper walls hold multiple layers of lasagna, a full baked pasta, a cornbread casserole, or an enchilada bake without spilling over, and the dual handles make it safe to move the pan in and out of the oven.
It’s the pan that bakes the dish and serves it at the table — the cast iron holds heat so the casserole stays warm through a meal, and the pan looks at home as a serving dish rather than a workaround. Pre-seasoned at the foundry and oven-safe to any temperature.
Lodge has been making cast iron cookware in South Pittsburg, Tennessee since 1896 — the longest continuously operating cast iron foundry in the United States. Every traditional black cast iron piece in the Lodge lineup is cast, seasoned, and packed at that Tennessee foundry.
