This is the Lodge cast iron muffin pan — a 6-well muffin tin cast from seasoned iron instead of thin aluminum. The thicker cast iron walls hold heat steady, which produces muffins and cornbreads with a crisper outer crust and a cleaner release than standard nonstick muffin tins deliver. Each well is sized for a full-size muffin.
It’s the muffin pan for breakfast and holiday cornbread — cornbread muffins, full-size bakery-style muffins, popovers, egg bites, and individual cakes all benefit from the cast iron heat retention. Pre-seasoned at the foundry and oven-safe to any temperature.
Lodge has been making cast iron cookware in South Pittsburg, Tennessee since 1896 — the longest continuously operating cast iron foundry in the United States. Every traditional black cast iron piece in the Lodge lineup is cast, seasoned, and packed at that Tennessee foundry.
