This is the 22-inch Master-Touch, the step up from the Original Kettle. It carries the Gourmet BBQ System grate — the center section lifts out so you can drop in a sear grate, wok, or pizza stone — plus a Tuck-Away lid holder that hangs the lid on the side of the bowl instead of leaving it in the grass.
It earns the upgrade on long cooks and crowded ones. The lid holder means you open the grill without breaking stride, the thermometer keeps you honest on low-and-slow, and the removable center grate turns the same kettle into a searing station or a pizza oven depending on the night.
Weber invented the kettle grill in 1952 and still manufactures its charcoal grills in the United States, using U.S. and globally sourced components.
