The narrow grind is the point — less blade width means the knife can follow a rib line without levering meat away from it. At 8 inches it is the more controllable of the two narrow fillets, and it comes with a sheath for carry.
This is the one to take for perch, crappie, trout and inshore fish where the frame is small and the margin for error is thin. The sheath means it can live in a tackle box between trips instead of being wrapped and unwrapped.
